Abstract:

The changing trend of the construction industry will require A/E/C firms to consider expanding operations in the international construction market arena. This paper presents a conceptual framework for a Decision Support System to assist the A/E/C firms in (i) identifying the most suitable target country for expansion (Module-1), (ii) the most suitable alliance partner in the target country (Module-2), and (iii) the optimal geographical office location to manage operations in the target countries (Module-3).
