Computerized Facility Information Management Systems

by Mike Tidwell,
Cal Leckington,

Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Part of: Computing in Civil Engineering

Abstract:

The paper describes a computerized information system that can be used in place of the traditional operations and maintenance manual used by facilities personnel. Plant operations and maintenance information, laboratory records and procedures, engineering drawings, sampling techniques, and other important information can easily be accessed and updated. Hardcopy manuals can be produced from these information systems and existing printed manuals can be converted into computer format without retyping.
