Abstract:

This paper describes an information system called CAPPB (Computer-Assisted Planning, Programming, Budgeting System) developed at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Construction Engineering Research Laboratories (USACERL). CAPPB assists in gathering and providing detailed resource programming information for the military engineer to plan and defend resource requirements. The system provides for collection and submission of data to different groups within the organization hierarchy. The system includes links to several other functional Army systems to improve data consistency and to avoid duplication of data entry.
