This engineering manual Roller-Compacted Concrete from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers provides information and guidance on the use of roller-compacted concrete (RCC) in dams and other civil works structures. Elements discussed in this manual include: 1)Investigation and selection of materials, 2) mixture proportioning, 3) design and construction considerations, 4) construction equipment and techniques, and 5) inspection. The appendices present a history of roller-compacted concrete construction, a sample of technical specifications for a dam, and an example of structural design using the RCC construction process.
