Abstract:

The TAMUWRAP Water Rights Analysis Package is a recently developed generalized reservoir/river system simulation model. Application of the model in a water supply reliability study of the Brazos River Basin focused on a system of 12 major reservoirs owned by the Brazos River Authority and Corps of Engineers, but reflects the facts that: (1) over a thousand entities, owning about six hundred reservoirs, hold permits to use the waters of the Brazos River and its tributaries and (2) much of the streamflow is unsuitable for most beneficial uses much of the time due to salinity.
