Abstract:

Proposed methodology for developing regional criteria for determining instream flow needs are described. The methodology includes: classification of streams; reconnaissance level studies of differences among stream classifications; detailed studies of selected streams within and among classifications; and a study of the sensitivity of instream flow needs to certain physical variables.
