Abstract:

This paper presents the development of a Geographic Information System (GIS) for on farm management of a 70,000 acre agricultural operation in northwest New Mexico. The GIS was developed as a tool to assist managers and technical staff in better utilizing farm resources. GIS development was performed by student scholars working with the Minority Engineering and Science Project at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado.
