Part of: Aviation Crossroads: Challenges in a Changing World

Abstract:

This paper presents results for dynamic pavement loading of various aircraft under takeoff and taxing scenarios. The data were obtained from computer simulation and applied to the Corps of Engineers (CE) rigid pavement design criteria to determine the theoretical reduction in pavement life for various aircraft and calculated peak dynamic loads.
