Abstract:

The purpose of this paper is to clarify the structural characteristics of nonlinear load-carrying behaviors of air-inflated beam structures in their finite deflection range and after wrinkles are produced by means of numerical analysis and experiment. This paper discusses about the major factors which determine wrinkling load, collapse load and deflection of those structures. Also, one of the practical examples is illustrated.
