Abstract:

Shape-finding analysis of unstable structures has been presented by using generalized inverse (Tanaka and Hangai, 1986). The 'Modal Analysis' using rigid body modes is elegant, but the computer programming for the numerical calculation of the modes is not simple. Therefore we propose another method named 'Direct Analysis' without using rigid body modes in the paper.
