Abstract:

The authors have investigated about the structural behavior of a wooden single-layer space frame structure with the bolted joints. We have carried out a buckling tests of a wooden single-layer space frame of reticular shell on a hexagonal plan. The purpose of our experimental study is to clear the bolted joint activity which affects to the structural behavior of the whole structure. In this paper, we have described the buckling behavior of a wooden reticular shell on a hexagonal plan. Especially, we have discussed the influence due to the bolted joint looseness with axial and bending resistance.
