Abstract:

This paper deals with three different curvilinear timber structures of moderate spans - 120 feet to 200 fee +/-. In each of the three cases cited, the roof deck and boundary members are designed to interact and be interdependent. All of the structures have been erected in the last 16 years. All of the structures are composed of heavy timber laminated beams made from long leaf Southern yellow pine, laminated with phenolic resin glue (waterproof).
