Abstract:

This article attempts to provide a description of the characteristics of the Second Terminal Airport. To comply with the functional requirement of the magnificent facade and spacious design of the building, high strength aluminum space frame with mirror effect coating is selected as the roof structural system, contributing to the prominent feature of the national gate. In this article, brief reports are furnished concerning the influential factors on the project, selection of the structural material, wind tunnel test, analysis, design and construction method of the space frame, expecting to share our experience and achievement with experts and scholars in the structural field. Any comments on this article will be appreciated.
