Abstract:

This paper gives a general overview of the People Mover installed at the Narita Airport by Otis Elevator in 1992. Included is a description of the unique combination of a cable propelled system with airpad suspension, as well as, some special problems associated with the use of Konji characters on system displays and operator interface units.
