Abstract:

An Otis People-Mover System was selected by The Getty Trust to transport visitors to The New Getty Center Museum for the Arts from an entry parking area up a steep hillside to the museum complex. The Otis People-Mover System is a cable-driven system supported on cushions of air. Otis and ABAM, its guideway design subcontractor, were closely involved in the system design to meet the requirements of the owner and project.
