Abstract:
Japan's `Manual for Design and Construction of Asphalt Pavement' is based on technical results from the AASHO Road Test in 1960's. Strategic Highway Research Program (SHRP) is a much bigger and more sophisticated road research program, so the results from this program will also effect on roads in Japan in a large degree. There are twenty eight LTPP (GPS-2) test sections in Japan, and almost the same data can be collected as in the United States. Here we show the outline of Japan's LTPP study, and also some efforts about LTPP analysis.
