Abstract:

This paper describes a recently developed procedure for use by bridge engineers making protection or rehabilitation decisions for concrete bridges. The methodology determines the most cost-effective treatment, and its timing, for specific components. It will be available from SHRP in the form of both a handbook and a computer program. The handbook approach is described in this paper.
