A methodology for the selection of cost effective solution(s) to the protection, repair, and rehabilitation of concrete bridges in chloride-laden environments is presented. The methodology considers the present assessed chloride contamination condition as well as the time value of money, interest rate, and method service lives over the life of the structure. Condition assessment methods are recommended and guidelines on how the condition data is to be employed is presented. Limitations in using protection, repair, and rehabilitation methods are also addressed.
