Abstract:

There is a need to develop an environmentally friendly railway in response to society's needs, implement high-speed operations on existing tracks, and develop a high-quality, high-speed railway network. STAR21 and WIN350, experimental high-speed rolling stock, is being developed. The features of STAR21 are noise reduction and optimum shape, performance for stabilized high-speed operations, light weight, and high-speed current collection.
