by Michael K. Deering, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento, United States,

Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Part of: Hydraulic Engineering

Abstract:

Approximately 20 square kilometers of wetland facilities are proposed to be installed within the Yolo Bypass of the Sacramento River Flood Control Project. A hydraulic impact investigation was performed to evaluate the changes to the flood conveyance characteristics of the bypass. The study employed two-dimensional finite element modeling techniques to establish an existing condition and to test various forms of wetland features.
