Abstract:

While much progress has been made in advancing the theoretical development of estuary models, relatively little effort has been made in improving the quality and quantity of historical data needed to calibrate, verify, and run the models in real practice. This paper describes one effort by the California Department of Water Resources to make more time-varying field data available to modeling support staff.
