Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Part of: Management of Irrigation and Drainage Systems: Integrated Perspectives

Abstract:

Several researchers have indicated that precise subsurface drip (SSD) application of irrigation water can be effectively used to reduce pollution of the aquifer when irrigating with reclaimed water or water polluted by agricultural chemicals and naturally occurring chemicals in the water and soil. The literature is reviewed and opportunities for further research suggested.
