Abstract:

A GIS-based stormwater management system has been developed for the Pasco County Board of County Commissioners. The model draws all spacial data including watershed parameters, network topology, topography, channel geometry, soil data, land use data, and water quality data from GIS coverages. Time series data is integrated through a HECDSS data base. The stormwater model consists of a rainfall-runoff model and a hydrodynamic channel routing model. The stormwater model is integrated with a water quality spreadsheet model which provides screening level water quality impact evaluation for the alternatives analysis. The entire system is integrated through a user friendly interface that provides file management and parameter feature editing.
