Abstract:

This presentation is concerned with systems for extraction of road traffic information from visual images. The extracted information ranges from macro-scale, cumulative traffic parameters such as flow and occupancy, through micro-scale descriptions of the behavior of individual vehicles, such as manoeuvre description. Specification criteria and measurement accuracy is analyzed. Through-out the presentation, special attention is paid to measurement of individual behavior.
