Abstract:

The paper examines the challenges posed by the possible impacts of the expected global warming and climate change on the coastal resources futures and development of west and central Africa. The paper finally examines the possible strategies for meeting the challenges of global warming and climate change and particularly emphasize strategies for (a) averting or reducing the magnitude of climate change and (b) mitigating the consequences.
