Industry and Agencies Join Forces to Improve Water Quality

Abstract:

Southeastern Egg and Poultry Association (SOUTHEASTERN), Soil Conservation Service (SCS), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Tennessee Valley AUthority (TVA), Extension Service (ES), and the State Land Grant Universities are working together to improve water quality in Fluvial and estuarine drainage areas. The industry and agencies are teaming up to develop and adopt environmentally prudent methods of utilizing and disposing of broiler production by-products. This paper describes and discusses these efforts.
