Abstract:

This paper reports an investigation of cost and revenue for high speed rail vs. maglev systems serving selected links in the Quebec City-Windsor Corridor (Canada). Information on the Corridor socio-economic and transportation characteristics is provided. The concept of costing and the methodology for estimating cost and revenue are described. For the high speed rail and maglev options, cost and revenue are compared.
