Abstract:

This paper describes TRACK, a track structural analysis method and computer program developed by the U.S. Army Construction Engineering Research Laboratories. TRACK is a program for evaluating existing track and for the initial design stage for new track. It provides an evaluation of vertical track support for a given wheel load. TRACK (1.0) is intended for railroads with light traffic frequencies and slow speed operations, as is common on short line and military railroads in U.S.
