Abstract:

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (the Port Authority) operates the world's largest and busiest airport complex as well as an extensive roadway network. To provide effective management and maintenance of these pavements, the Port Authority has developed and implemented an airport pavement management system. This paper discusses the evolution of pavement management systems at the Port Authority up to the present.
