Non-linear Analysis of a Cable Stayed Bridge

A concrete single-pylon cable-stayed bridge has been analyzed to investigate the ultimate capacity. Two different methods were used to investigate the nonlinear behaviour. First, a simplified analysis was used. Second, a nonlinear analysis was performed. Both methods showed comparable results with regard to the deflections and loading capacity.
