Abstract:
In this paper, the importance of the structural analysis in accordance with the construction progress was emphasized to accurately predict the structural behavior of prestressed concrete bridges. Firstly, the structural behaviors during construction are not discrete, but linked each other as the construction progresses. Secondly, the preestimated structural behavior of a prestressed concrete bridge is practically different from the actual behavior during construction due to various reasons at site. Therefore, the construction situation should be completely considered at the design step and its is necessary that the difference between actual behavior and pre-estimated behavior has to be analyzed as the construction progresses at site and fed back to next construction steps. Additionally, PSDARI was introduced as an effective tool to simulate the structural behavior of prestressed concrete bridges according to the construction sequence.
