Abstract:

A quantitative procedure which identifies the technically efficient combinations of storage volume and treatment rate necessary to achieve various levels of combined sewer overflows (CSO) pollution control is presented. This procedure, along with site specific cost functions and economic optimization analysis, can be used to determine the lest cost combination of CSO storage and treatment facility requirements.
