Abstract:

Groundwater is the principal reservoir for the Fresno/Clovis Metropolitan Area (FCMA) of Central California. However, significant portions of the aquifer are threatened by pesticides and other contaminants. To provide water supplies that are safe, dependable, economical and meet the future needs of the metropolitan area, five water agencies participated in a three phase water resource planning process.
