Part of: Shotcrete for Underground Support VI

Abstract:

A tunnel contract specified quality parameters such as: thickness, compressive strength, adhesive strength, bending tensile strength and residual bending tensile strength for fibre reinforced shotcrete. The major part of the first 250 meters was not approved by the owner. The actions required were adapted to the actual rock situation at each section and also to the achieved quality of the shotcrete. The paper describes the analysis that led to the demands put to the contractor.
