The Use of Yield-Line Theory in the Design of Steel-Fibre Reinforced Concrete Slabs

by Jonas Holmgren, Royal Inst of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden,

Document Type: Proceeding Paper

Part of: Shotcrete for Underground Support VI

Abstract:

Using yield line calculations for steel fibre reinforced slabs a formula for the design strength of shotcrete linings is developed. The formula establishes a connection between the toughness indices according to ASTM C1018 and the design strength one can use in calculations of the load capacity of a shotcrete lining.
