Abstract:

A new powder-type accelerator based on calcium aluminate has been used for shotcrete in underground construction. This accelerator can be applied to all types of shotcreting. The shotcrete with this accelerator shows excellent adhesion to the surface of tunnel by quick setting according to the hydration of calcium aluminate, and develops its strength successfully.
