Abstract:

The development of traffic signal timing plans is a common task. Some of the traffic software programs are the Arterial analysis package (AAP), the Progression Analysis and Signal System Routine (PASSER-II) and the Traffic Network Study Tool Version 7F (TRANSYT-7F). This paper presents a computerized tool for the design and review of signal timing plans produced by PASSER-II and TRANSYT-7F through the AAP. The program is called the Signal Timing Optimization Review Method (STORM).
