Abstract:

A landmark agreement became effective in December 1989 between the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California and Imperial Irrigation District which provides for the implementation of 17 projects estimated to conserve 106,110 acre-feet annually by 1995. Three case studies are presented to demonstrate the various planning approaches used.
