Abstract:

Fatigue damage accumulation in members of offshore structures can be affected by various aspects of the non-Gaussian response stress time history induced by the nonlinear/non-Gaussian random wave loading. An analytical approach is presented to predict the fatigue damage caused by the nonlinear interactive Morison equation wave loading. Comparisons are made with the simulation results for a compliant type offshore structure.
