Abstract:

A parameter identification method has been developed in geotechnical engineering problems, where the extended Kalman filter-weighted local iteration procedure is developed incorporated with the finite element method in order to identify unknown parameters. Numerical analyses are carried out to show the usefulness of this method in parameter identification of a plain strain field.
