Abstract:

This paper describes the steps taken in developing innovative traffic-related solutions to obtain approval for the Marriott Corporation International Headquarters site, which is planned to contain four million square feet of office space and a hotel. Also described are the special problems encountered in the traffic impact assessment of a site of this magnitude located in an area where there is a traffic capacity shortfall.
