Part of: Engineering, Construction, and Operations in Space III

Abstract:

Recent work on space resource utilization has lead to the identification of certain modifications of previously proposed processes which can be properly characterized as 'second generation' processes. The usual qualitative and quantitative criteria previously applied in literature to comparisons between processes are much easier to apply in comparing closely similar processes. This paper will apply such reasoning and discussion to a few selected processes both to draw conclusions and to highlight the process by which they may be reached.
