Abstract:

This paper presents the results of laboratory test on beams reinforced with three dimensional continuous carbon fiber grid. The grid is prefabricated by three-dimensional weaving and epoxy resin impregnation. A series of beams were tested under flexure and shear. The strength and behavior of these beams are compared with companion beams which were reinforced with conventional steel rebars.
