Abstract:

The solution of nonlinear problems, which are of importance to industry and in scientific computations, requires increasing degrees of resolution. This high degree of resolution can be offered by massively parallel computers, by adaptive methods, or by combinations of the two. Here some developments in nonlinear finite element computations for massively parallel computers and in the implementation of adaptivity are described.
