Abstract:

An alternative study was conducted to determine that existing condition of a deteriorated timber pier and a rubblemound breakwater, and to develop alternative rehabilitation plans leading to a recommended plan for final design. The recommended plan includes a rehabilitated pier for commercial mooring and recreational fishing; an extended, more stable breakwater; and a new floating marina for transient boats. This paper discusses the development of alternatives, the procedure of evaluation and recommendation, and the features of the final plan.
