Abstract:

New transportation system provide more information to drivers to improve their effectiveness in tasks like routing, avoiding congestion. We are examining the headsup displays as means of information display. A vital question becomes the synthesis and management of this information so as to not overload the driver and create safety hazards. We have designed a driving simulator to design and evaluate the safety and effectiveness of headsup display.
