Abstract:

A system model that can be used for the analysis of pavement distress data collected by various visual devices (e.g. photographic film) is presented. The models operate at two levels: a) the microscopic level for processing of the images and classification, and b) the macroscopic level for reduction and aggregation of the information (based on spatial relationships among distresses) so that it can be used for pavement management purposes.
