Abstract:

The necessary basis for any cost-effective highway and bridge deck pavement management program is reliable, complete and up-to-date information concerning the state of pavement surface. An imaging system using the Shadow Moire method for the quantitative inspection of highway pavement surface in real-time has been developed. The pavement surface reconstructionalgorithm presented herin uses two moire interferograms of any point on the surface to obtain overlapping information for correct elevation estimation.
