Abstract:

A quasi-static finite element procedure for the stress analysis of three-way joint of buried pipelines under earthquake loads has been established by quasi-conforming thin circular cylindrical shell elements. Some experiments have been carried out, and the numerical results are in good agreement with the experimental results.
