Abstract:

A reliability index is calculated for flexural strength of a handset wood slab formwork system. Load and resistance models are based on a survey of construction loads and wood test data available. The reliability analysis was performed for dead and live loads only. The wood species and grade considered is Douglas Fir, visual grade 'No. 2 or better.' The reliability index for the framework system was calculated using Monte Carlo simulations.
